Baptisms are one of our most celebrated times together as a Church Family.
If you are wanting to commit your life to following Jesus, one of your first steps is to be baptized and receive the blessing of a pleased Father. Baptism is the Christian act of immersing a believer under water and then bringing him or her out of the water. Christ himself was baptized in the Sea of Galilee by John the Baptist. This historical incident is very important to the church, even today. Just as Christ’s ministry on earth was marked by his initial baptism and his father’s blessing, “This is my son (or daughter), in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17), we step forward as full participants in Christ’s body through baptism. It is both a public declaration of one’s identification with Christ in his death & resurrection as well as an identification with Christ’s sonship as we receive the Father’s blessing.
Please register here to be baptized on May 4th on the Everett blacktop. We ask that you attend the Baptism Class hosted by Julie Barrios, our Director of Spiritual Formation on April 27th at Everett Middle School following our gathering.
