Maundy Thursday

When: March 29th

Where: Homes All Over the City

March 29th — The Lord Jesus, after he had eaten with His disciples and washed their feet, said to them, “Do you know what I, your Lord and Master, have done to you? …I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done” (John 13:12, 15).

This Maundy Thursday, we’re washing one another’s feet and taking communion together in order to remember the New Covenant — and also the newly ordered Kingdom that we see in John 13. This historic Christian tradition is intended to be experienced in community, whether it be with your family, roommates, coworkers, Community Group, or volunteer team. (Since Maundy Thursday is centered around communion and foot washing, a meal together in any form is optional.)

Here is the Facilitator’s Guide to lead your group through a Maundy Thursday experience.
