Serve as a Village Volunteer

How to Get Involved:

The first step is to fill out our application. After submitting, you will be contacted by our Kids Team and invited to our next Village Volunteer Training.

The vision of our Kids Ministry, The Village, is to partner with families to help raise kids who follow Jesus. The Sunday experience for families at Reality SF is part of this partnership as we receive children with the hospitable love of Jesus. We call our Kids Ministry The Village because it takes a village to raise kids, and we, as a church, are that village. As a Village Volunteer, you will be part of a team that helps deliver a Gospel-centered, Holy Spirit-driven Sunday experience for kids.

Making a Commitment:

We desire to create a consistent and comfortable environment for our kids where relationship and discipleship can take place, therefore we highly value the commitment of our volunteers. We seek volunteers who want to have an opportunity to be involved in something bigger — to be involved in the story of each child’s life, shepherding them to know, love, and follow Jesus – to also be a key part of our Church’s vision of being an abiding presence in the city for many years to come.

The structure of our ministry is such that each volunteer is placed on a team that serves a specific age group so that our kids can have consistency in the faces that they see each week. Our team structure also builds relationship among our volunteers, to be supported and encouraged by their team. To ensure that each team has enough volunteers, we ask that all volunteers commit to serving twice a month for a minimum of six months. Our volunteers are expected to be punctual, to communicate needs among the team, to pray for another, to be prepared each Sunday by reading through assigned lessons, and to model the Christian life to our kids and point them to Jesus, the Good Shepherd.

If you have any questions about serving in The Village, please email our Director of Children’s Ministry Marissa Hernandez.
