Growing up in Ormond Beach, Florida, Emily was born into a family and church where Jesus was a natural part of waking, living and breathing. After witnessing the peace and love that Jesus brought to this community, she desired to know deeply Him as well.
Years later, Emily and her husband Chris packed up their three kids for a six-month stay in San Francisco while Chris worked a temporary job at an area hospital. During that time, the Morgans visited Reality and almost instantly got involved in the community. Much to their surprise, God gave them hearts to make SF home, and they never plan to leave!
Emily has worked for years as an academic tutor, and that experience, along with homeschooling her own children, has given her a profound love for children and God’s Kingdom work in and through them. As the Preschool Ministry Coordinator, she works and learns with The Village volunteers who care for our two, three, and four year olds, while also cultivating a caring community of parents, kids, and leaders. (Note: Emily’s role and responsibilities on staff are currently on hold until Reality SF is able to resume regular in-person Sunday services.)
In her free time, Emily loves road trips with her family, learning new languages, and playing cello.
