In today’s BREAD reading from Colossians 2, Paul writes,

“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Colossians 2:13-15

During today’s fasting and prayer focus, begin by opening yourself up to the Spirit and allow Him to identify sins in your life for which you need to repent of. As you confess your sins before the Lord, express your appreciation to Jesus for forgiving you. We also encourage you to confess your sins to a trusted brother or sister so that they can pray over you (James 5:16).

Throughout the rest of the day, be praying over the powers and authorities in our world. As the Spirit brings them to mind, pray that Jesus would bring His true justice to reign on earth. As you are made aware of the places in need of Jesus’ victory, listen for how you are being invited to partner with Him in bringing renewal to our world.
