Though We Are Apart, We Are Still Together
Our Youth Ministry

We believe God is at work in San Francisco and that we are invited to participate in the renewal and restoration which He is up to here. We don’t believe the unspoken, yet often believed, lie that you must be an adult to experience and participate in God’s renewal. As a ministry, we are committed to walking alongside our youth as they experience the fullness of God’s love, transformation, goodness, mercy, and hope.

Come Hang Out Online
We know that in a season of physical distancing, it is more important than ever to have opportunities for connection and community. So we have increased our youth gatherings and moved them to Zoom!
On Sundays (time varies) and Tuesdays at 5:30PM, we all hop on a Zoom call and catch up, hang out, play games, listen to music, and watch a show. We like hanging out!
Everyone can come and go as they need. These gatherings typically last an hour and a half.

Join Us for School Nights
On Thursday nights at 5:30PM, we gather online to study God’s word together and pray for one another.
We know that in extraordinary circumstances, God does extraordinary things, so we are expectant and hopeful that God will use this season in the lives of our youth — and that along the way, He will bring us closer together.
A Note to Parents in This Time of Quarantine
As a ministry, we want to encourage those of you who have students who are new or just haven’t connected yet to get your students logged on! Our youth and leaders have been having a really sweet time together. It’s low key, but there is a lot of laughing, playing games, and real connection happening.
We have heard from so many parents over the last year how much they hope their youth can find community at Reality. Let me tell you: these Zoom calls are defining community! We are getting to put our money where our mouth is! We’re showing up, even when it feels weird and we don’t know what it should look like.
Our hours on Zoom with our youth have been precious — they are ridiculous sometimes, they are awkward, sometimes people drop off the call, or don’t mute while they shout for their siblings to leave them alone — but they are the highlight of our weeks!
We are sure your students are spending a lot of time on Zoom these days, and might be sick of it. But our hope is that this season is building our relationships with each other and with the Lord in ways that will outlast quarantine. We hope your students are willing to hop on and give it a shot! We can’t wait to see them!
Grace and peace,
