Way of Jesus
Community at Reality
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34-35).
As our vision statement says, “we are a community following Jesus, seeking renewal in our city.” We value community at Reality because we believe that Jesus uses fellowship between his followers to continue the work he began of creating a new family, a new body of his disciples. This is why our church provides a variety of opportunities for followers of Jesus to connect with one another and form thriving relationships. From midweek gatherings to Sunday socials – there’s a place for you to find your people among God’s family!
Ways to Get Involved
Become a Leader
As we work to rebuild our community spaces, we are looking for members of our church who are interested in serving as committed leaders to care for and guide others as we seek to be with Jesus, be like Jesus, and do what Jesus did, together.
Tuesday Morning Prayer
Every Tuesday morning from 7:30-9:30AM, we host a time of corporate prayer to encounter the Holy Spirit, intercede on behalf of our church and city, and listen for God’s voice together.
Community Nights are a time to gather together as a church under one roof and practice true fellowship with one another. These gatherings are centered around building purposeful connections and drawing closer to Jesus.
Welcome to Reality
Once a month, we host Welcome to Reality for those who are new to our church to meet one another, hear an overview of our mission and vision, and then have an opportunity to ask questions.
Discipleship Courses aim to help our church interact with the Bible to discern God’s truth, learn practical skills in ministry and Christian living, and experience growth and transformation through the Holy Spirit.
On Sundays throughout the year, we host various socials for members of our community to meet new people and casually connect over coffee or a meal.
At the beginning of 2022, we recognized a strong need to provide spaces for our church to find connection and develop relationships. In response to this need, we created a variety of opportunities for people to find organic community and gather together with the purpose of growing closer to Jesus.
Additionally, we acknowledge that many people have been interested in connecting with others in a small group setting. Thus, our staff have been diligently working to rebuild and reimagine a new model for groups as intentional communities committed to growing closer to God and one another through practicing the way of Jesus together.
Our desire is to launch these groups in the new year. In order to do so, we need enough committed leaders who are teachable, humble, and hungry to know more about God and to lead others along for the journey. We encourage you to apply for leadership if you desire to be a part of the work God is already doing in our community!
