02.17.21 | Interceding

Today’s BREAD reading from Acts 9 begins with the story of Saul’s conversion.

Take some time to re-read Acts 9:1-22. Read slowly, reflecting on how Jesus was able to engage with Saul on his journey; moving him from someone who was against Christ to being a disciple of Him.

After you read the passage, sit in silence and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Ask Him to bring to mind specific people that God desires to see come near to Christ. Write down any names that come to mind.

For the remainder of your time of fasting, take the opportunity to pray for the people that came to mind. Intercede with God that they would have an encounter with Jesus. And if you feel the Spirit is prompting you to do so, see if there is a way for you to minister to them directly.
