11.24.21 | Praying for Others

In recognition of Thanksgiving, this week we will spend our time focusing on those we will be encountering this holiday season. Wether you are spending time with family, friends, or by yourself, take a moment to listen to God and how he may be inviting you to interact with the people around you.

To begin, let’s remember first and foremost that, no matter our circumstance, Jesus is with us always. Start your time in appreciation for him, praising Christ for who he is, what he has done, and the ways in which he has shown up for you.

Next, spend time listening for and journaling about who God may be highlighting in your life, specifically someone that you will encounter during the holidays. Ask God what he wants you to know about that person. God may share a word, a passage of scripture, or an image with you that he wants to use to speak into their life.

Pay attention to what he is sharing with you, and remember, whatever God shares with you about someone is centered in his love for that person. He will not use you to speak condemnation into someone’s life, but to bring encouragement and to build them up.
