2020 Year-End
Giving Campaign

give

As we approach the end of 2020, we want to say thank you to all of you who have supported the mission and vision of our church by financially partnering with us. Despite all the challenges we faced together this year, we have endured as a community following Jesus, seeking renewal in our city. On average, approximately 35% of our annual budget comes in between October 1st and December 31st. This December, we have a special opportunity to be generous to others.

During a year of so much change and unpredictability, your consistent generosity toward the mission of Reality SF and those in need has been incredible. Back in May you poured out from what God gave to you and made sure there was “no need among us.”  Your consistent gifts since that time to the Benevolence and Justice & Outreach fund has allowed us to care for people in so many ways. Because of this, we are able to help meet the needs of individuals and families, as well as our missionaries and partners.

During times in our lives when clarity is elusive and normalcy is on shaky ground, it is important to be consistent with the things that provide a sure footing. We have strived from the beginning days of our church to bring renewal to the city of San Francisco. We desire to invest in those places and people who are doing the kind of Kingdom work that truly brings the renewal we have been praying for.

While this year has been so difficult for all of us, we have identified unique challenges for schools, churches, and youth. So as the end of 2020 approaches, we hope you will help us remain rooted in our investment to these specific areas.

Particularly, we want to bless two schools: Rise Preparatory and Donum Dei.  Both of these schools are unique in their commitment to youth, approach in education, and desire to build the Kingdom of God through our next generation.

Additionally, we have seen many churches in low-income urban areas struggle financially during this season and we want to help. Churches Helping Churches is an organization that has been set up to connect the body of Christ together in an effort to support one another.

Our goal is to give away $250,000 at the end of this year to these three places.

Rise University Prepatory

Rooted in the Bayview, Rise University Prepatory (aka “Rise Prep”) is a non-discriminatory Christian nonprofit school that reserves 80% of their seats for students from the Bayview neighborhood or students who are low-income or first generation college-bound. Currently they have a vibrant mix of students in 7th-9th grade classes, 58% of whom will become the first in their family to attend college. Through close partnerships with churches, businesses, and other non-profits, Rise Prep enfolds their students in a community of care and support.

Donum Dei Classical Academy

Donum Dei Classical Academy is a nonprofit Christian school whose mission is to impart a rich classical Christian curriculum full of Scriptural truth and life-giving experiences. They exist to nourish students’ hearts, souls, minds, and bodies for the purpose of growing in them knowledge, wisdom, good character, and Christ-like virtue worthy of bringing glory to God. Donum Dei aims to equip young ladies and gentlemen to become discerning scholars, faithful leaders, compassionate servants, and instruments of light to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Churches Helping Churches

Churches Helping Churches has brought faith organizations together to raise over $1.2 million to help low-income churches all over the nation. They continue to encourage more stable churches to build relationships with at-risk churches in their community and help through financial and tangible resources, believing that both have something to offer one another. Additionally, CHC provides direct aid grants to churches to continue serving low-income communities in urban areas that have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

In the midst of change and unpredictability, let’s have our generosity be a solid foundation.
