volunteer applicationOur Justice & Outreach teams focus on actively meeting needs and building relationships with our neighbors facing poverty and marginalization, including vulnerable children and families, immigrants, and seniors.
Current Serving Opportunities
Here’s how we are currently serving our neighbors in the city.
Weekly Food Pantry
Every Saturday morning, Reality SF serves our neighbors by providing fresh produce and protein as a distribution point of the SF-Marin Food Bank. Longtime volunteers have been blessed by genuine friendships with our neighbors and other volunteers through serving at the pantry.
Family Drop-in Center
During the school year, we have developed a weekly drop-in center through our relationship with Buena Vista Horace Mann School (BVHM) and Dolores Street Community Services. This space is designed to serve families participating in the Stay-Over Program at BVHM, an emergency shelter for families with children. Once a week, we offer a welcoming space where families can enjoy a hot meal and find a safe, restful place to gather in the mornings and build community.
Foster Care Team
Our Foster Care Team seeks to support families and children affected by the foster care system, raise awareness, and motivate our church to take action. Our team is devoted to meeting tangible needs of vulnerable children and families, supporting foster families through intentional friendship and prayer, and providing resources and information to those interested in learning more and getting involved.

To volunteer with one of our Justice & Outreach teams, you must complete our volunteer application below and pass a basic background check. (If you currently serve as an RSF volunteer, you will not be required to complete another background check. However, we ask that you complete a new application and select “Outreach.”)
