March 8th Sunday Gatherings Canceled Due to Coronavirus

In light of our Mayor, London Breed, asking all nonessential large gatherings to be canceled in our city due to the coronavirus, Dave Lomas responds in the below video to the changes to our gathering tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s Church Gatherings Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

In response to SF city officials’ advice to cancel nonessential, large gatherings to avoid the spread of coronavirus, we are canceling our church gatherings this Sunday, March 8th. Our heart in this is to protect the most vulnerable in our city.

Prayer Meeting Tomorrow in Everett Auditorium at 9:15AM

As the church, we believe it is essential for us to pray. So instead of our typical large gatherings tomorrow, we will host a short prayer meeting in the Everett auditorium at 9:15AM. After singing a few songs together, we will pray for our city, nation, and world. All are welcome to participate.

No childcare will be provided.

You may also gather tomorrow in your Community Groups, and below you can find some suggested prayer points.

Prayer Guide for Community Groups

We suggest for those who don’t come to Everett to pray that you gather with your community to pray. Here is a guide:

Healing & Protection for the Sick & Vulnerable

“I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.”
Psalm 30:2

Wisdom for City Officials, Other Churches, & Our Government

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
1 Timothy 2:1

That the Church Would Work at Renewal & Work in Prayer

“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Guidelines for How to Pray

Pray Specifically
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
Mark 10:51

Pray in Faith
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:24

Pray that God Is Glorified
“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 14:13
