Melissa Mueller

Leadership Development Pastor

Originally from New York, Melissa grew up in a home with two Jewish-Christian parents who consistently served in ministry and missions. But it wasn’t until the age of 20 at a Reality LA church gathering that Melissa came to understand the depth of her need for Jesus and His loving sacrifice.

After studying Communications at SF State, she worked in retail, theater, event planning, and music before joining Jews for Jesus to direct children and youth ministry on the West Coast. Coincidentally, her first Sunday in San Francisco in 2010 was also Reality SF’s first Sunday!

Over nearly a decade, God grew Melissa’s heart for the city, and especially for the young people, whom she sees as a powerful and essential part of God’s renewal here. After helping launch Reality’s Youth Ministry years ago, she eventually stepped into the role of Youth Pastor, serving for nearly six years.

Since then, Melissa has launched another new ministry, which seeks to better equip and train leaders in our community to serve within their specific calling and giftedness. Melissa is passionate about making space for deeper discipleship and greater investment for our leaders.

In her spare time, Melissa loves West Coast swing dancing and going to Giants games with her husband, Matthew.
