Naomi Lau

Children's Pastor

While growing up in Illinois to Chinese immigrants, Naomi learned about Jesus through her parents, who each came to faith as young adults. She accepted Christ as her Savior at five years old at a summer vacation bible school program.

Naomi attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education, but changed career paths to attend graduate school at Columbia University for a career in business consulting.

In 2011, Naomi and her husband left New York City for San Francisco, and became a part of the Reality SF community after being drawn to the teachings and community. Prior to her call to vocational ministry, Naomi began operating her indie children’s picture book publishing business (and still does!), and was blessed with the honor of motherhood to her daughter and son.

During the pandemic, Naomi felt a sense of urgency and a clear invitation from God to partner with parents and caregivers to nurture growing faith at home. Serving as the Children’s Pastor, Naomi leads the shepherding of our children as they learn about and are taught how to live in the way of Jesus.

Outside of ministry, Naomi enjoys distance running, the arts, and pursuing her passion for children’s book publishing.
