Dave Lomas

Teaching & Vision Pastor | Elder

Born in the central valley town of Bakersfield, CA, Dave began following Jesus during his junior year of high school. In 1997, he started working in vocational ministry and was ordained at the age of 21 as a youth pastor.

After serving vocationally in ministry for 10 years, he felt the Lord’s prompting and call to plant a church. In 2007, Dave and his wife Ashley moved to Carpinteria, to begin the process of planting with the Reality Family of Churches. It was there that they heard God’s invitation to move to San Francisco. After moving in 2009 and a year of prayer meetings around the city, the first Reality SF service was hosted on January 10, 2010.

In addition to serving as an elder, Dave serves on staff as the Teaching & Vision Pastor, responsible for the overall pastoral vision and teaching of the church. He and his wife live near Mt. Davidson with their daughter Juniper, son Neuwen, and golden doodle Prince.

Dave’s first book, The Truest Thing About You, was a project that came from his lessons while pastoring during the first few years at RSF.
