Daniel Lai

Missionary, Young Life San Francisco

Daniel has been on staff with Young Life since 1999 and with Young Life San Francisco since 2014. He and his family are devoted to living on mission in San Francisco, in order to care for youth in the city by creating accessible Christian programs for young people and their families.

Daniel’s commitment to being on staff with Young Life is driven by his passion for inviting others into life with Jesus and helping them grow in their faith. Daniel oversees ministries for middle school, high school, and college, as well as special needs programs in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

He and his family (wife Becky and sons Drew and Henry) love being SF residents and Christ’s representatives in the City’s public schools. Having grown up in the Bay Area as a fan of the Warriors, Giants, and 49ers, Daniel coaches high school football and basketball as ways to combine his two passions: sports and youth ministry.

His dream is that every teenager in San Francisco would have the opportunity to meet Jesus, and he’s passionate about connecting people at Reality SF and other churches to students in our local schools. To learn how to support Daniel’s ministry, please email him.
