Jeremy & Christa Kastle

Missionaries, Northern Ireland

Jeremy and Christa Kastle, originally from California’s Bay Area, have had a heart for global missions since 2014. After years of prayerful discernment, they relocated their family to Northern Ireland to join the gospel movement through their work with EdenGate Travel and their involvement in local church ministry. Both are members of ACTION International.

Ministry Overview
Beneath Ireland’s rich history, natural beauty, and legendary hospitality lies a sobering reality: the Republic of Ireland is one of the least-reached English-speaking nations in the world, with fewer than 2% of people identifying as evangelical believers. While churches dot the landscape, many stand as empty symbols of a once-vibrant faith now faded into cultural religion. In regions such as Connemara, a rugged Gaeltacht area with a population of around 32,000, there are only a handful of evangelical believers and just one Bible-believing church of about 20 people. Northern Ireland, while historically more evangelical, is navigating its own post-Christian cultural shift.

The Kastles believe the gospel has the power to transform lives and communities, and they are answering God’s call to engage hearts and strengthen the church in this region.

Jeremy works in IT and cybersecurity for EdenGate Travel, a for-profit travel company based in Northern Ireland that practices business-as-mission. Through faith-based tourism and digital services, EdenGate connects churches in America with churches across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East; raises awareness of the need for church planting; and facilitates ministry partnerships. EdenGate also serves its charitable arm, Patrons International, as well as the Kinfire Festival, Téigh: The Go Gathering, and other local churches and organizations in Ireland. Together, these efforts provide operational support for gospel-centered mission across the region. Through his expertise in technology and cybersecurity, Jeremy helps strengthen the digital infrastructure that enables this work to function, grow, and bear fruit.

Church Life & Voluntary Ministry
In their personal time, the Kastles are active volunteer members of St. Donard’s Community Church in Dundrum, an evangelical Anglican church plant approaching its fifth anniversary with a vision for connecting people to Jesus. Meeting in a historic 138-year-old building, the church is rooted in the authority of God’s Word and focused on outreach, discipleship, care, and worship. The Kastles have been welcomed into this church family and are building relationships as they serve alongside its leadership and congregation.

Their voluntary involvement includes supporting the church’s youth and young adult ministries, participating in and leading elements of Sunday services, providing pastoral care and practical support to church leadership, and using photography, video, and visual storytelling to strengthen the church’s outreach and digital presence. They are also intentional about discipling other young families, building community, and supporting St. Donard’s efforts to serve the wider Dundrum community.

Through their work with EdenGate Travel and their service at St. Donard’s, the Kastles are helping support pastors and church leaders, strengthen local churches, and participate in the growing gospel movement across Ireland and beyond.
