The "J" Family

International Missionaries

Due to security reasons, we cannot reveal the full identities of the J* family, post photos, or disclose the specific country where they serve.

The J* family is living and serving in Southeast Asia with a vision to participate in God’s work by creating movements of multiplying disciples of Jesus among majority-religion communities. Their ultimate hope is to see churches planted among some of the world’s “least reached” people.

A* previously served as the lead pastor of an international church they helped plant in 2010. After nearly twenty years in pastoral ministry in the U.S. and overseas, he now focuses on introducing Jesus to the unreached and discipling new believers.

N* is passionate about building relationships with women and creating hospitable environments where people can connect. She formerly taught in inner-city Detroit and is excited to serve the less-privileged in this next season of ministry.

Their eldest child, M*, enjoys spending time with friends, playing basketball, and following a wide variety of sports. V*, their second child, enjoys chatting with friends, doing craft and graphic design projects, and playing volleyball. Z*, their youngest, loves games, basketball, and keeps the whole family laughing.

Summary of Ministry
The J* family is focused on reaching out to the majority-religion people in their Southeast Asian city and province. Their city is a large urban center with nearly 2 million residents, and their province is approximately 95% majority-religion.

Their strategy involves sharing the Gospel with these least-reached populations, inviting interested individuals to study the Bible, baptizing new believers, discipling them to become disciple-makers, and helping to form biblical churches.

They are currently developing a “platform” to support this vision, which includes two key tracks:

1. Business-As-Mission (BAM)
They are developing an English-language training business that creates natural opportunities for relationship-building and Gospel witness, while also providing long-term sustainability and legitimate access to communities. Currently, they are conducting pilot classes, engaging potential clients, and learning the legal and operational frameworks required to launch a formal business.

2. Community Ministry
In underserved neighborhoods of their city, A* and N* teach English and support educational development—especially among children and teenagers. These weekly and bi-weekly programs not only equip students with practical skills but also open doors to deeper relationships and spiritual conversations.

Their long-term strategy is to share the Gospel with those who have never heard it, disciple those who respond, and help form small, healthy, reproducing churches that continue the work of Jesus among their neighbors.
